The VIEW Conference, Italy’s premiere international event on Computer Graphics, Interactive Techniques, Digital Cinema, 2D/3D Animation, VR and AR, Gaming, and VFX, has announced New York Times best-selling graphic novelist ND Stevenson will join Nimona directors Nick Bruno and Troy Quane in-person at this year’s conference. The trio will present their 3DCG adventure, which is based on Stevenson’s hugely popular work.
VIEW 2023, an English-speaking event, takes place October 15-20, 2023, in the beautiful baroque city of Turin, Italy. Tickets are now available from the official VIEW Conference website.
In the all-new original animated feature Nimona, when Ballister Boldheart (Riz Ahmed), a knight in a futuristic, medieval world, is framed for a crime he didn’t commit, the only one who can help him prove his innocence is Nimona (Chloë Grace Moretz), a mischievous teen with a taste for mayhem — who also happens to be a shapeshifting creature Ballister has been trained to destroy. But with the entire kingdom out to get him, Nimona’s the best (or technically the only) sidekick Ballister can hope for. And as the lines between heroes, villains, and monsters start to blur, the two of them set out to wreak serious havoc — for Ballister to clear his name once and for all, and for Nimona to…just wreak serious havoc.
Stevenson is the award-winning, bestselling author and illustrator of “Nimona,” as well as a co-producer of the Netflix film adaptation. He is also the author and illustrator of “The Fire Never Goes Out,” the co-creator of “Lumberjanes,” and was the showrunner for the award-winning Netflix series She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. He currently lives in Los Angeles.
