Happy birthday to the East Coast beacon of indie tooncraft, Animation Block Party, which will really have something to celebrate this year when the festival returns to Brooklyn, New York’s BAM Film on Saturday, June 3 at 7 p.m. for a special 20th anniversary event.
Festival founder Casey Safron also shared with Animation Magazine that the full 20th annual ABP festival will run August 18-20, and opens for film entries the first week of May.
The big 2-0 celebration kicks off with the unveiling of a festive, Brooklyn skyline-inspired commemorative poster created by longtime ABP collaborator Xiongliang (Ben) Li.
