Adult Swim Canada’s first original adult animated series, Psi Cops, gives new meaning to the serious business of investigating spiritual phenomena, extraterrestrial life, and paranormal activity – placing it in the hands of “out of the box thinkers” agents Kydd and Felixx. With a promise of witches, swamp hillbillies, and snake gods – alongside aliens and old men, voodoo dolls, and the “ever-important debate of hamburgers vs. tacos,” the series premieres June 4 at 12:30 a.m. ET/PT on Adult Swim and streams live and on-demand with STACKTV.
First announced by Corus Entertainment back in May 2021, and produced by Wind Sun Sky Entertainment and Oddfellows Labs, the show follows “Coworkers Friends Forever – aka CFFs” Kydd (Chris Nielsen) and Felixx (Bart Batchelor) overly competent “incompetent detectives” who, working at the paranormal agency Psi Cops, solve mysteries and supernatural crimes.
In the show, the unjustifiably bold and unnecessarily creative CFFs work as paranormal investigators at Psi Cops, a secret agency crammed into a shady office complex and helmed by true believer Chief Beef alongside a rag-tag group of “experts.” Each episode follows the investigative duo investigating alleged sightings of aliens, ghosts, demons, and other hocus-pocus nonsense.
Ahead of the Psi Cops premiere on Adult Swim, series creators and stars Batchelor and Nielsen, Oddfellows Labs producer Chris Ferguson, and Wind Sun Sky Entertainment executive producer Catherine Winder (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Invincible, The Angry Birds Movie) will attend Calgary Expo on Thursday, April 27 beginning at 7:30 p.m. for an exclusive screening and Q&A panel.
