Aaron Martin created a horror anthology series called ‘Slasher‘ that got released in 2016. The first season was ‘The Execution,’ while the second was ‘Guilty Party’ released in 2017. The third season released in 2019 was ‘Solstice,’ and the fourth released in 2021 was ‘Flesh And Blood.’
The fifth season is called ‘The Ripper.’ It depicts the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th. The Widow disrupts the city and runs the streets red with blood by killing the strong and rich people in society instead of chasing the weak ones. So, this season is not like ‘Jack The Ripper.’
Basil Garvey (played by Eric McCormack) is a tycoon who will destroy himself one day due to his cruelty. Kenneth Rijkers is the detective handling the case. Let us see whether he ends the murders or becomes a victim.

Recap Of The Previous Seasons Of ‘Slasher’
Season 1: The Executioner
The first episode got aired on 04 March 2016. Sarah Bennett and her husband Dylan return to Waterbury, where a serial killer called ‘The Executioner’ kills the people. Her parents got killed by the same killer 30 years ago.
However, this time, the original serial killer is already in prison. So, it is someone else. On the other end, Sarah gets trapped in these killings, and they are related to the seven deadly sins. The season shows whether Sarah ends the crime or becomes a victim.
Season 2: Guilty Party
The first episode of the second season got released on 17 October 2017. The five protagonists return to the area where they had killed another counselor, Talvinder Gill. They had hidden her body in the woods. But, they return to relocate the body when they realize that the land will get sold and used to build something.
The protagonists get targeted by someone and isolated in the harsh weather. So, they must fight the wilderness of the weather and the killer.
Season 3: Solstice
The first episode of this season got aired on 23 May 2019. Kit Jennings got murdered by a mysterious person with a ‘Druid.’ He was a drug addict. It occurs in the Clayborne Apartment building, whose residents do not help him in his last moments.
After a year, on Kit’s death anniversary, the killer resurfaces with the same costume they wore while killing Kit and kills every person trying to take an interest in Kit’s death. The two detectives, Pujit Singh and Roberta Hanson try to solve the case.
Season 4: Flesh And Blood
A wealthy family that cannot handle social relations goes to a family gathering on an isolated island. Yes, this weirdness is the spirit of the ‘Slasher’ series. Coming back to the story, the family members become rivals as their buried wounds come up when a masked murderer arrives on the island to kill them brutally one by one.
Slasher Season 5 Release Date
The fifth season of Slasher, called ‘The Execution,’ will get released on 06 April 2023 (Thursday) on the Shudder network at 09:00 PM, according to EST.
