Netflix has revealed how everyone’s favorite disembodied hand was brought to life in Tim Burton’s hit series, Wednesday. The streaming giant recently took to Twitter with some behind-the-scenes photos of Thing actor Victor Dorobantu doing his ‘thang’ on set. While Dorobantu acts with just his hand, it seems the role required a full-body contorting performance, a blue VFX suit, and a wrist prosthetic.

Jenna Ortega (Scream, The Fallout) stars in the titular role, alongside Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman as her well-meaning and dark-leaning parents Morticia and Gomez Adams.
The sleuthing, supernaturally infused mystery series charts Wednesday Addams’ years as a student at Nevermore Academy. Wednesday attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a monstrous killing spree that has terrorized the local town and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents 25 years ago — all while navigating her new and very tangled relationships at Nevermore.
